CAPA FINAL (1).png

Recorded in Barcelona, Latino Americano is the latest album from bassist and composer Raphael Du Valle. This album marks a new stage in his career, reaffirming his artistic identity and his constant search for new sounds.

The album was recorded as a trio, featuring Brazilian musicians Rodrigo Mendonça on flute and Alan Souza on percussion. This configuration creates a distinctive sound, with the interplay of instruments revealing the rhythmic and expressive richness of Brazilian and Latin American music.

Drawing inspiration from ijexá, samba, choro and latin jazz, the repertoire showcases the electric bass as the melodic and harmonic protagonist, driving arrangements that blend subtlety, groove and sophistication.

With its refined arrangements and contemporary sound, Latino Americano captures the essence of a generation of Brazilian musicians who approach instrumental music with sensitivity and innovation. More than just a recording, the album celebrates the culture of the Americas and the ability of music to build bridges between people and across borders.

Tour in Spain

During the album Latino Americano's recording season, Raphael Du Valle performed a series of concerts in Barcelona and other Spanish cities, introducing European audiences to the power and sensitivity of Brazilian music.

Performing in bars, cafés and independent venues, the trio created authentic encounters between cultures, showcasing the versatility of Brazilian instrumental music in intimate and welcoming environments. Each show was a living laboratory where the trio tested arrangements, explored new dynamics and developed the sound that would define the album.

The final leg of the tour was captured by BBR Sessions, a Spanish channel dedicated to live music, which documented this phase of the project with exclusive performances.

These recordings capture the spontaneous atmosphere and energy that characterised this period, offering a true portrait of the dialogue between Brazil and Europe through sound.

Through this experience, Latino Americano expanded its reach, establishing itself as an international project and reaffirming Raphael Du Valle's commitment to sharing Brazilian instrumental music with new audiences and territories.
